Syringe Services Programs save lives. They are a safe and effective way to:
Reduce HIV and Hepatitis C infections
Prevent overdoses
Provide a non-judgmental space to support the wellness of people who use drugs
We are partnered with Public Health Madison & Dane County as a Syringe Services satellite location.
Vivent Health
For more than 40 years, Vivent Health has been relentless in the fight against HIV, from advocating for policy change to protecting communities through prevention efforts to welcoming and caring for all who come through their doors. They offer people living with HIV the highest-quality care, including wraparound social services designed to support the whole person.
We offer free sexual health supplies, as well as HIV informational materials at Community Pharmacy in partnership with Vivent Health.
SASY Neighborhood Association
The Schenk-Atwood-Starkweather-Yahara neighborhood (most people just say SASY) is located on the near-east side of Madison, Wisconsin. It stretches from the Yahara River on the west to the Starkweather Creek on the east, from East Washington Avenue on the north to Lake Monona on the south.
The SASY Neighborhood Association is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization. Their mission is to empower residents to engage in decision-making processes that affect life, business, and the natural and urban environments of the SASY and the east side of Madison.
The SASY Neighborhood Association has generously partnered with Community Pharmacy and our Outreach Coordinator through a grant that will allow us to offer free health and harm reduction supplies to the East Side of Madison.
Queer Care Collective
The Queer Care Collective at the Outreach LGBTQ+ Community Center is dedicated to Harm Reduction in the Queer Community. Through our partnership with them, we are able to offer harm reduction and sexual health items for free at Community Pharmacy. They have generously donated Plan B, Covid Rapid Tests, Non-Lubricated Condoms, and other supplies and informational materials to us.
Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce
The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce works to create a fully inclusive state by promoting economic growth and opportunities among LGBT owned and allied businesses, corporations, and professionals in Wisconsin. Representing its members, the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce serves as the business advocate and the link between business and government in an effort to promote equality and fairness for all.
MadWorC
MadWorC is a membership organization of worker-owned and operated cooperatives and their supporters. Their mission is to support and build the solidarity economy in the Madison area by promoting worker ownership and democratically controlled workplaces. They provide cooperative education, development support, peer networking, and technical assistance towards growing an ecosystem of worker-owned cooperatives, which can mutually support each other while building racial, gender, and economic justice in our communities.
Chrysalis Inc.
Chrysalis has a long history of providing innovative, effective and empowering, vocational mental health services. Our services embody the belief that every individual has the right to be an active member of their community.
The seeds of Chrysalis Pops were planted in 2016 to support our mission and better connect with our community. The Social Enterprise is run by the Chrysalis Clubhouse, supporting meaningful relationships and meaningful work while producing and selling local, organic fruit pops. We’re proud to sell Chrysalis Pops in our store.
MMSD - Transition Education Program
The Madison Metropoliton School District’s Transition Education Program’s Goal is to reduce barriers to school enrollment and achievement so that children from families who are experiencing homelessness have a "full and equal opportunity"
to succeed in school.
Services include, but are not limited to advocacy, transportation, school supplies, resource and staff development, community education about homelessness and mobility and coordination with community partners.
Multicultural Affairs Program in Pharmacy
The Multicultural Affairs Program in Pharmacy (MAPP) strives to bring together people from all backgrounds within this school of excellence. Students from all walks of life are provided a source of social support and guidance as we work to create a school-wide environment where all students can realize their full potential as individuals within the pharmacy profession.
National Alliance on
Mental Illness - UW Madison
The National Alliance on Mental Illness at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a student organization dedicated to promoting mental health and fighting the stigma against mental illness through education, advocacy and support.
