Karuna’s Philosophy
They believe in taking a wellness approach in skincare by blending four different principles to achieve a state of balance.
Their Formula
At Karuna, they choose to leave out ingredients that don’t provide a direct benefit to the skin like parabens, phthalates, and sulfates while following EU regulations – long renowned for having some of the highest formulation standards in the industry. It’s their belief that to help skin achieve an optimal state of balance, the ingredients they leave out are just as impactful as those they use.

Karuna is constantly striving towards more ways to make a positive impact on the environment and they will continue to look for opportunities to do so as they grow. To date, they have started to action on the following initiatives:

MEET LINDA WANG
Linda Wang is the founder and CEO of Karuna Skin and sister brand Avatara, known for being the first to bring Asian sheet masks to the U.S. Her interest in skincare has been shaped by an ongoing struggle since childhood with allergies, rashes, and eczema. As an adult, her focus sharpened on resolving this deeply personal issue.
In 2007, she discovered the revolutionary sheet masks on a trip back to Taiwan, which offers the hydrating and rejuvenating benefits of a facial without the expense or time commitment. Sensing an opportunity, she launched Karuna sheet masks in 2009.
Her goal is to simplify and streamline beauty regimens through easy-to-use, accessible, and affordable beauty products.
